This is a beautiful video DDeubel has published in EFL Classroom. It gives us a great opportunity to revise the English vowels and diphthongs.
Suggested activity:
1) Watch the video and enjoy it. It has got a great visual power.
2) Try to identify the biggest number of words the voiceover says.
3) Watch the video again and read the words below, paying attention to their pronunciation and the vowel sounds.

Phonetics explained the easy way?
Isn't that a contradiction? Is it possible to learn phonetics in an easy way? Doesn't the word 'phonetics' just put us off wanting to learn anything about it? Whatever we may think, knowing phonetics is essential to become an independent English learner and not to have to rely on a teacher to find out how a word is pronounced or how an English sound is made.
Through A Clil to Climb I have come across a series of three videos which teach phonetics the easy way. The teacher speaks very slowly, and she is very pedagogical. The quality of the sound isn't the best in the world, but the quality of the lessons outweighs this disadvantage.
The videos cannot be embedded, so please click on the pictures below to watch them.
